The BCA Protein Assay Kit is a rapid and reliable method for determining protein concentration. It is a detergent-compatible, colorimetric assay based on the reduction of Cu²⁺ to Cu⁺ by peptide bonds under alkaline conditions, followed by formation of a purple BCA–copper complex. The intensity of this color, measured at 562 nm, is directly proportional to the protein concentration, making the kit suitable for accurate protein estimation in a wide range of biological samples.
