HotStart Taq PCR Master Mix (2X) is a ready-to-use, premixed solution containing a chemically modified Taq DNA polymerase, dNTPs, MgCl₂, and reaction buffer at optimal concentrations for efficient amplification of DNA templates by PCR. The enzyme remains inactive at room temperature, preventing non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation during reaction setup. Upon heating to 95 °C during the initial denaturation step, the enzyme is reactivated and supports specific DNA amplification. The master mix minimizes pipetting errors, miscalculations, and contamination, and is compatible with general PCR-based application protocols.
