Product Description
Trypsin, Sequencing Grade is a serine protease that specifically cleaves peptide bonds at the C-terminus of lysine and arginine residues, making it an essential enzyme for proteomic and mass spectrometry–based applications.
Edna’s Sequencing Grade Trypsin is a lyophilized porcine trypsin that has been chemically modified by reductive methylation, which significantly reduces autolytic activity while preserving high catalytic efficiency. The enzyme is further treated with TPCK to eliminate chymotryptic contamination and subsequently purified by affinity chromatography, resulting in a highly active, stable, and sequencing-grade preparation ideally suited for reproducible peptide mapping and MS analysis.
