High-fidelity Pfu DNA Polymerase with 10x Buffer (Mg-free) and MgCl2
Cloned from Pyrococcus furiosus, overexpressed in E. coli
Pfu DNA Polymerase is routinely used for PCR applications in molecular biology. Due to its proofreading activity, Pfu DNA polymerase is used for high fidelity transcription with greatly reduced error rate compared to standard Taq DNA polymerase products.
Pfu products from Edna have exceptional activity, stability and value in terms of cost per unit. Learn more in our Product Data Sheet and Brochure which includes product information, detailed usage protocols and sample gel results.

Product Information
Pfu DNA Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase that has 5´→ 3´ polymerase activity and 5´ flap endonuclease activity. The enzyme also exhibits 3´→5´ exonuclease (proofreading) activity. Base misinsertions are rapidly removed by the polymerase, making it a good option for applications where high-fidelity error-free synthesis is required. Edna Pfu products are recombinantly produced in E. coli and thus are highly pure and offer robust and reliable PCR activity.
What's In The Box:
The product includes a vial of the formulated recombinant enzyme along with 10X Pfu reaction buffer (Mg-free) which is detergent-free and designed to be compatible with existing assay systems. This product also includes a separate vial of 25 mM MgCl2 solution.
Highlights:
Isolated from a recombinant source
The enzyme is free of any tags
