Cloned from Thermus aquaticus, overexpressed in E. coli
Taq DNA Polymerase is routinely used for PCR applications in molecular biology. Taq products from Edna have exceptional activity, stability and value in terms of cost per unit. This Mg-free formulation comes with separate MgCl2 solution for easy optimization of Mg2+ concentrations in the reaction.
Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase that has 5´→ 3´ polymerase activity and 5´ flap endonuclease activity. Edna Taq products are recombinantly produced in E. coli and thus are highly pure and offer robust and reliable PCR activity.

The product includes a vial of the formulated recombinant enzyme along with 10X Taq reaction buffer (Mg-free) which is detergent-free and designed to be compatible with existing assay systems. This product also includes a separate vial of 25 mM MgCl2 solution.
